The CEO of the cryptocurrency marketing company founded by John McAfee, Jimmy Watson, accused Luke Jenkins of refusing “to give back [cryptocurrency that] is valued at fifty to one hundred million dollars.” Jenkins, he suggests, was hired to account for, receive and hold payments and tokens on behalf of John McAfee and Team McAfee. He also dragged crypto trading platforms HitBTC, TopBTC, and Yobit in the embezzlement case, claiming they were equally guilty.
What Does Watson Accuse Jenkins Of?
The CEO suggests that Luke Jenkins had received millions of dollars’ worth of digital coins, including substantial payments in Bitcoin and Ethereum. He indicates that the tokens have been “outright stolen” and claims that the embezzlement is verifiable via emails, eye-witness accounts, smart contracts and some transactions available on block explorers.
Illustrating the Issue Further
Jimmy Watson said that he had received evidence from several partnerships and crypto exchanges about the “intentional malice” by Luke Jenkins and his two accomplices in the last three months. Team McAfee reportedly requested the funds but never received them. The company now plans to take the legal route to retrieve the stolen funds and press criminal charges. He also says that Jenkins’ responses are “nefariously submitted with accusations inlaced in extortion.”
Watson also suggests that Jenkins’ actions result in defamation of John McAfee and the Team. He also warned crypto entities that if they receive any funds or tokens from McAfee and do not return them or if they do not block Jenkins and his accomplices, they will be “held [legally] accountable for excepting [sic] stolen funds.”
The team suggests that 3 million Eristica and 200 million CryptoSecure assets are missing. They also claim that 45 million Skraps, and millions of Docademic have been laundered via exchanges. They also claimed that HitBTC has laundered 999,980 Sether (SETH); 8,490 Bitcoin Private (BTCP); and 12,599,908 Bezop (BEZ) tokens.
The allegations put forward by the team are of a serious nature, but none of the accused have responded to the claims at press time.
