Bitcoin closed with some gains in month of February

For the first time since July 2018, Bitcoin has closed the month with gains. In February BTC finally saw green again, rising more than 11%.
Bitcoin was worth $3425 on February 1, and ended the month with a price of $3815, a growth of just over 11%. It was the first time in six months the cryptocurrency market leader finished the month higher than it started. The last time this happened was in July 2018, when Bitcoin saw gains of close to 20%, surging from $6700 to $8000 in 30 days.
Since July, Bitcoin didn't manage to end the month with a positive result, with the November drop from $6400 to $4300 as the worst month in the past six months.
In February, Bitcoin saw three different runs. On February 8, BTC surged from $3350 to over $3600. Then, on February 18, Bitcoin reached $3800. Last week Bitcoin briefly hit $4150, before dropping back to the current $3800 levels. The last few days there is not a lot of movement, with the market clearly waiting what the next Bitcoin movement will be.
The total cryptocurrency market cap climbed from $113 billion to $131 billion in February.
